I’m running for council because I care deeply about our community and the people who call it home. As a parent, volunteer, and longtime community member, I understand the importance of creating a town that is affordable, safe, welcoming, and full of opportunity for families, seniors, youth, and local businesses.

I’m running for my family, and for yours. I want to help build a community where families can thrive, children have opportunities to grow, seniors feel supported, and residents feel proud to call this town home.

I believe strong communities are built through listening, transparency, and practical decision-making. I want to bring a fresh perspective, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to serving residents with honesty and respect.

I believe we need clean, safe streets and a welcoming downtown core where practical and compassionate solutions is important not only for those struggling, but for the health and safety of the entire community. When families want to spend time downtown, our local businesses thrive, our community becomes stronger, and Tillsonburg continues to be a place people are proud to visit and call home

Safe Streets & Healthy Communities

Keeping families safe must always be the number one priority. I support:

Safer crosswalks and intersections
Improvements around schools, parks, playgrounds, and family areas to help slow traffic and protect pedestrians
Compassionate, community-based approaches to reduce homelessness and connect people with needed services
More action to attract doctors, healthcare workers, and medical professionals to Tillsonburg so families can access healthcare close to home

Recreation &
Opportunities for Youth

Our children deserve strong recreation programs, safe places to play, and opportunities to grow right here in Tillsonburg.

I support:

Expanding recreation opportunities for youth, families, and seniors
Investment in new and improved recreational amenities, including a potential ice pad, indoor turf facility, and indoor walking track
Safe and accessible parks, playgrounds, and recreation spaces
Strong local sports and community programs that keep kids active and engaged

As our community grows, our recreation spaces and programming need to grow with it. Families should not have to leave town to access quality programs, sports facilities, and activities for their children. Recreation and community involvement help build confidence, friendships, healthy lifestyles, and a stronger sense of community for our youth.

People choose Tillsonburg because of its sense of community, friendly atmosphere, and quality of life. As we grow, we need to ensure we don’t lose values and character that make this town feel like home. Growth is necessary to move our community forward. If we don’t grow, we risk becoming stagnant. But growth must be balanced, planned carefully, and focused on improving quality of life for both current and future residents.

Smart Growth

Growth is important for the future of Tillsonburg, but we must grow responsibly while protecting the small-town character that makes our community so special. I support thoughtful and responsible development that:

Protects our small-town feel and community identity
Ensures infrastructure grows alongside new development
Plans for future needs such as water capacity, roads, healthcare, and recreation
Supports local businesses and sustainable economic growth
Keeps residents informed and involved in major community decisions

Affordability & Responsible Spending

I understand the pressure rising costs place on households. As a mom raising three young children, I know how difficult it can be to balance family needs while taxes and everyday expenses continue to increase. I am committed to:

Striving to maintain a balanced budget while keeping property tax increases as low as possible
Reducing wasteful spending
Ensuring projects provide meaningful value to the broader community
Prioritizing investments that benefit families, residents, and the long-term future of Tillsonburg
Making thoughtful financial decisions that protect affordability while still moving our community forward

I believe that residents deserve responsible financial leadership and accountability for how taxpayer dollars are spent. That being said, many people still feel they have not seen significant improvements that reflect those increases.
